District Bargaining Update

March 27, 2025

On March 27, 2025, representatives from Gonzales USD and the Gonzales Teachers Association met to begin reopener contract negotiation for the 2024-2025 school year. 

The teams met and had collaborative, productive discussions regarding compensation, hours of employment, evaluations, and other items from the teams’ initial proposals.

In addition, the District and GTA agreed to bargain regarding Article XV, Parent Complaints in order to clarify the Article’s language.

The teams look forward to more productive collaboration during our next meeting scheduled for April 30th, 2025.
